my poor, poor vagina.

posted 9th Nov
I took a mirror and looked at my vagina today. I did it because even though I'm four weeks PP sometimes when I pee, it burns... and because sometimes my clit feels alot of pressure due to tearing up top.

Well, my back stitch is completely healed (yay) but in my front, I have raw, torn skin almost like my stitch fell out before healing my tear

I called the doctor and the earliest they can see me is in 10days   .. has this happened to anyone? any solutions for healing?

I have the same thing :/ my Dr saw me right away because I told them I thought my stitches came open. Turns out that it was a tear that the on call dr didn't stitch because it was in an awkward spot.. ny tear is on the opening of the vagina though so when I pee I just lean all the way forward so it doesn't sting. She just told me that it will heal on its own. Also taking a bath only up to your hips for 10 min 2-3 times a day helps with the healing.

I had superficial tears on and around my clit. They couldn't stitch them so they had to heal on their own. It burned like the devil. O.M.G. They have healed since but they left scars. My labia minora has a dip or gash like spot where it healed over. SO says you can't see it and I forget its there most of the time. It took me about 2.5 months to be fully healed on the surface. Wiping, and peeing on the wounds can't help too much I'd imagine lol

And posts like this make me a little happier that I needed a c section.

I hope your hooha gets better. Not even trying to be funny. I actually cringed and said "OMG! You poor thing!" when I read your post.

Yeah the receptionist kept saying it would heal on its own, hence why they werent in a rush to give me an appt

I was hoping I would return to feeling normal by now.

Sounds precisely like me!! Did you have to wait 2.5 months to work out also?

LOL ... I'm just an unlucky one. I heard C-section recovery is way worse than most vaginal recoveries. How was yours?

When I did anything that worked my hips or my stomach it either hurt a lot or felt like I was coming unglued.

Don't worry! You will feel better soon though. I can bet in like 2 months or so you will swing back. I think what makes you feel smurffy when you exercise at first for a lot of women is going over a year (pregnancy plus healing and being busy) without much laborious physical activity, ya know the kind meant to burn the belly fat. At 10 mo post partum I feel the same physically (maybe not mentally, thank you hormones) as prepregnancy. Talk to a doctor about any concerns he has for healing vs exercise but it will all feel normal again soon hopefully.

I've had 5 abdominal surgeries so it was a piece of cake. The key to surgery on your belly is using a pillow for any movement and to walk as soon as they say it is okay to try. It hurts at first, but the more you move the faster you heal. I mean, as long as you don't try lifting things and running a marathon. I lived up 3 very long, steep flights of stairs and I walked up them like a boss. LOL! The only thing that sucked was my epi not working right during my c section. My daughter was 9.6 so I am glad she was a c section. I know women have had bigger babies with no tears, but the thought of a big baby passing through my hoo ha and ripping me a new one makes me feel sick. Now if we ever have another I will try for a vbac, but I will be so afraid of tearing. LOL!

You can get a maxi pad soak 100% witch hazel on it and put it in the freezer so it's nice and cool then just wear it and replace when you need a new one until you can get to your Dr. appointment. I have prepared some witch hazel and plenty of maxi pads in my hospital for after my water birth.
