Looking at names

Not pregnant just looking at names. I lost my firstborn when he was 6 days old. His name is Coda Josiah. I would like to honor him. What if I named my next son Emerson Coda?

Meh, personally, i wouldn't name my child after one i lost. It would just be too much of a reminder of losing him.
Maybe name an animal after him?

That's a handsome name, but are you going to be able to handle that emotionally?

I think having it as a middle name is thoughtful but I don't know if I would be strong enough to do that.

My first daughter was stillborn and her name was Sophia. I name my 2nd daughter Natalia Sophia. Its beautiful reminder in my opinion. When she is old enough to understand Ill explain why her name is so special.

If that's how you want to honor your child, that's how you should do it. I was just asking because I know sometimes that reminder is a too much. I like the name.

This. And it is a very handsome name. If you are strong enough to handle it, go for it.

being born after a lost child, I personally would NOT want my name to have anything to do with my brother.

I think it's weird and puts a lot of weight and pressure on the next child.

I think when parents do that, they don't want to honor their lost child, they want to think there is a little piece of that child still with them. It's really weird and creepy IMO
