re: Line spotters! + or -? *OPK*

read the info that came with your test, with MOST ( 98%) the test line must be AS dark or DARKER than the control line. there is 1-2 tests where it's positive with two lines.

Every time I ovulate and use a first response OPK it looks like yours. Mine is never as dark as the control line.

You can test again tomorrow to see. If it comes out darker it means you are getting closer to ovulation, a positive is when the line is as dark or darker than the control line. If u test again tomorrow and the line is lighter it means u have already passed the time when u would have had a positive one and this is just the surge going down which means u probably already ovulated. With ovulating tests it's better to test a few days before possible ovulation and a few days after in order to really track it and have a better idea of when u ovulated. Good luck!

I showed my doc cuz I had an appt days later and showed him the pic and told him that the next day it was blank and he said I ovulated. I told him we didn't have sex until the next day but hey we still caught the egg!

You can ovulate 24 to 36 hours after your surge...at least thats what the first response pamplet says because I was worried since I didn't have sex the day the positive happened and the test was completely blank after that I missed for that month but someone pointed out the surge happens before ovulation and sure enough I got sex in in time.

Yeah that's true it does take a while for u to ovulate after the surge. I was just saying if u tested the next day and it was darker then u hadn't had ur surge yet meaning u haven't ovulated yet. It
F it's laughter then ur surge has passed and maybe already ovulated. It's hard to tell tho. I always got results like urs when I used ovulation tests except for once. They are tricky lol

True! I think her best bed is just to start having sex every other day now just in case! lol Fun and might get results!

That OPK is BFN.
do you think you already ovulated? If you have a normal 28 day cycle you could have missed it, BUT when you have surge you ovulated 24-48 hours or so after your initial positive OPK, and then the egg can stay in the tube ready for fertalization for a couple days as well. i know i conceived my son "after" ovulation occured

The bad thing with opks is that there could be anything that could throw off the amount of hormone and make it seem negative. You could have drank something an hour before the test and it could have diluted your urine or you urinated too soon. Things like that make a difference. But it looks close to positive. I say BD anyway. Either way if you BD tonight you will catch the egg if you ovulate tomorrow.
