Let her stay the night with grandma? HELP!

I posted a thread earlier but I've taken a turn for the worst. My head is killing me, I've got diarrhea and nausea, I'm so congested my chest hurts.

I'm terrified of getting Addie sick. She's 13 mo and has NEVER been sick. Not even a runny nose, except for teething and acid reflux issues.

My biomom lives 30 minutes away, and I think she might take her for a night or two if I need her to.

Have any of you ever let your kids stay with grandparents/other family so you didn't get them sick? I feel like I'm pawning my kid off and I don't want to do that. =[

Honestly I would let them just so you can recoup but she has probably already been exposed to the illness so if she is going to get sick it's just going to happen.

Yup. Hand the baby over and get better.

If you're sick you need your energy, otherwise it could take you longer to get better and you risk getting your LO sick. Ive let my mom and dad take my LOs for the same reason, I dont think its pawning them off, its preventing her from getting sick and saving you the hassle of caring for her if she would.

yes, well actually they insisted, dont feel bad or selfish, its for her health at the end of the day  

It's good for both of you! You can get rest, and she doesn't get sick. Win-win situation!

My mom that I live with was making me feel guilty so I kind of broke down crying and told her I didn't want a sick baby!

I'm such a wuss when I get sick. sigh. I really do think it's the flu.

I think I have a Z-Pack laying around here somewhere, so that's good.

My grandma told me she wanted her instead of the bio-mom for the whole weekend, but I don't see that happening. Haha.

Just get better mama! I know Im useless when Im sick, I can barely care for myself let along my LOs.

You have NO reason to feel bad, you are clearly a good loving mother! You need to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of baby. Right now that means allowing her to go for a night or two. We've almost all been there!!
