MY 26 month old always ripping off diaper even when not wet

My daughter for the last week will not stop ripping her diaper off even when she isnt wet or dirty. I want to start potty training soon but she doesnt talk yet. and the big potty is scary a bit for her. Im at a loss for what to do potty train start or not.

She doesn't need to talk to PT  
Does she know what pee and poop is?
Get a potty chair that sits on the floor so it's less intimidating.

My son hated the potty but wet on the toilet. He is now over 4 and been toilet trained since a week before he turned 2   I let him just run the nude at home so he could jump onto the toilet and it worked. Keep her nappy off? She must be ready.
