How many tests do you have?

I've never used them... but from what I gather, you're supposed to pee on 1-2 per day in order to see the line getting darker (closer to O).

Do you normally have a 28 day cycle? Regardless I'd start testing around CD 11. It's best to test around 2pm-4pm.

Depends on how long your cycle is. There should be a chart inside the box to tell you what day you should start testing. I used the clearblue digital ones(smiley face) and I was on a 34 day cycle, I think it told me to start 14 days after my period, I got a positive on day 19.
Good luck!

I could wait and see how long they are, or go buy opks in bulk and test now until you get a positive. I was on birth control in July, along with metformin, to keep my body on track (i am very irregular from pcos) and my period came on August 4. I started opk's on August 9th and got my positive on August 18th which pretty much had me pretty much right on track for a 28 day cycle. I got pregnant that cycle and I didn't even have sex until the day after I got the positive. If you don't want to spend the money on a lot of tests for one cycle I would wait a cycle and see how many days it is.

Are you periods usually regular? Your cycle length would be how many days it is between your periods.

I'm not sure yet this is my first period post BC. So the days between my last day of my period and the first day of my period is my cycle? What day do people typically ovulate?

When I was looking up tips on conceiving a boy, there was a section that talked about ovulation and it said to normally look at days 11-14 for ovulation. And watch your vaginal discharge too. If the consistency is slippery and a milky white color you're ovulating!

It goes from the first day of your period, to the first day of your next period. The time between is how long your cycles are.

A cookie-cutter cycle is 28 days, with ovulation on day 14 (so about a week after your period ends). But most women this isn't true.

It will take you a few months to see a pattern. I suggest buying OPKs off of Amazon, and testing twice a day starting 10 days after the start of your period. If I didn't test twice a day, I would have missed my surge each month.

Once you get a positive, ovulation will occur within the next 12-36 hours. You don't get a positive right as the egg is releasing.

Awesome explanation thank you!!! So my period started Monday, so I am on day 5 of my cycle?

I will buy some on Amazon and start testing 10 days after Monday (when I started)?

Yep, you're on CD5. And that's when I would start. I'm not sure how long it takes for cycles to resume after Mirena, though, so don't be surprised if it takes a bit. Although I hope its quick for you!
