Verbal abuse

What things would register as verbal abuse to you?
For instance...
If your SO would constantly accuse you of cheating, constantly tell you that he "knows" you have many guys on the side. Will curse at you and yell during these accusations that have zero basis.

Would you consider that borderline verbal abuse? Or just a lovers quarrel?

I'd call that paranoia and trust issues over verbal abuse. Still definitely not okay.

Both and a relationship with no trust is not good!

I think it's highly inappopriate and nothing you want in a relationship...I'm not sure where to draw the line exactly into abuse.

Cussing and accusing her of smurf she didnt do is considered verbal abuse since it happends constantly.

Now our conversation had gone like this..

Me: I do not think this is going to work. You continuously scream and yell and accuse me of things I didn't do. It's borderline verbal abuse.
Him: Haha verbal abuse. I might be wrong to accuse you but you can take "verbal abuse" and stick it where the sun don't shine"

Me: no response for a while

Him: Maybe it's good we are not getting married. Hell I wouldn't want to "abuse" you Haha
Me: you're right, because a marriage where you'd constantly be yelling at me and accusing me of cheating, accusing me of having multiple boyfriends, accusing me of flirting with my coworkers, telling me you don't want me to work because you don't trust me with my coworkers.. that marriage would probably end in divorce.
Him: you're such a martyr. You go girl!

You're right. Exactly what I'm thinking. I guess when I should've left it alone when it didn't work out the first time instead of giving it another try.

Dont feel bad at least now you know that you gave him another chance
and it didnt work. If you didnt gave him another chance you would always have that what if. kwim?
