BF sick and they don't know why...

posted 9th Nov
The first diagnoses was a brain infection. Now the doctors are saying he might have MS.
I hope it's the infection, something that can be treated and will go away. Whatever it is we'll deal with it, but I just really hope it's nothing chronic or anything. :/
He's 30 minutes away, but at least he's in a good hospital. I still miss him and I'm still worried, though.

That's awful  , I'm so sorry to hear it. Sounds like things are very early on but never be afraid to ask for other things it could be or a second opinion...especially with something so serious.

Really? What are his symptoms? My husband has had MRSA before, it doesn't have to be a huge scary thing provided they treat it promptly.

For the MRSA, they did a nasal swab and found it, and put him on antibiotics.

His main symptoms overall are numbness/tingling in his left hand, slurred speech, clumsiness, headaches, and fatigue. He has a second spinal tap this morning to see if it's MS, I think? and are going to give steroids through a catheter in his spine. I don't really know all the details or how everything works, and I hate it.

Oh, I see. I thought you meant they just suspected MRSA based on his symptoms. I'm really sorry to hear that  . I don't know much about MS specfiically if that's what it is, but I do have a lot of experience with the medical stuff in general. You can always PM me if you need to chat or vent <3.
