Mirena

I just had mirena inserted on Tuesday and have just now been hearing about unexplained weight gain and the inability to loose weight. I am freaking out a bit. Anyone with mirena experience good and or bad out there?

I had one and had no problem with weight gain, and if I was on a diet I was able to lose the weight I wanted to. Everyone is different though, I have nothing but good to say about mine. I had it for 5 years never got pregnant even if we weren't careful.

I have it. I've had no weight gain & no problem losing weight. This is my second time using it, feb will be a year since i got it this time. No problems so far with either time. I love it.

did you not research anything about mirena before getting it inserted?

Yes I did but now i have heard more bad stuff about it.

from what i've read, there have been way more cons than pros with mirena...

why i chose paragard IUD instead!

no problems with mine.
I love it and would shove it up my vag again, if needed.

Weight gain, when I eat like garbage.
Good diet and exercise and I have no problems with it.
