developing a stutter?

posted 9th Nov
DD will be 3 on New Years Eve, she's been speaking in full sentences and been able to carry on a conversation since 20 months. About 6 days ago she began to repeat certain words for example "Me loved Halloween and trick or treating" ,she still says me instead of I, but she would repeat the word "Me" 8 times before she was able to move on to the next word. Anytime she says the words me my marley mommy pretty much any M word. Her 3 year check up isn't until January, should I contact her dr about this before then? Or see f its a "phase" like everyone is telling me? If she needs speech therapy I would much rather get her into it sooner rather than later.

Any advice or opinions is appreciated

Does she attend daycare? My niece was picking up a. Lisp from another child at the daycare my sister kept correcting her and she cut it out. Does she do it constantly or sometimes if it doesn't stop I would mention it at her appt

My d is 4 and ashe does say I or sometimes she referes herself by name (in 3rd person) lol

She gets really excited sometimes and stutters "I I I I I I I I saw this" etc lol
Its fine, cause it only happens when she is way to excited about something. lol Her speach is fine. Is it when excited or all the time?

Nope she stays home with me and her sister and brother. She does it anytime she says an M word, it doesn't matter if it's in the beginning middle or end of a senntence. Its just so strange because she pretty much started doing it overnight

It's all the time, my oldst would do te same as your DD when really excited. But this is different, like lastnight when I was putting her to bed she was almost totally asleep and she said I love you mommy but repeated mommy atleast 5 times.

I've gotten concerned a few times with my LO as she has gone thru phases of pronounced stuttering/repeating. We just ignored it and it went away... then it wold come bac and go away again. I think it is probably normal for lots of kids.
