present ideas for kids..

posted 9th Nov
okay. dec 8th is my baby's birthday - she will be 2. need a few gift ideas
dec 25th is christmas - need gift ideas for a 3 (almost 4) yr old and 2 yr old.
jan 22 is my oldest's birthday - she will be 4. again, need gift ideas.

i hate their birthdays and christmas are so close together. i also don't want to buy a smurf ton, bc we already have so many toys (which btw, i'm getting rid of some of them to just make room)

What do they like?
Could you get them each an Innotab 2? as a big gift then a couple little things for xmas.
Then get them personalized things for birthdays.

Favorite princess barbies, my little ponies, dora things.

Or for xmas do they have those kiddy pull out couches?

what is an Innotab 2? is it like a leap pad? bc i'm not interested in getting anything like that for them just yet. i was considering getting my oldest a play horse and a doll. and maybe a cinderella princess doll. bc she loves cinderella. my baby loves ariel. so i was considering getting her one of those.

as far as christmas, i normally get them a few individual things. and then a few things to share. last year they got a huge doll house. maybe i could look into getting a few more dolls and furniture for it? and no, they don't have any kiddie furniture like that.

i'm also debating on a cinderella vanity. my oldest has asked for one. but i just don't know how they are going to take care of it KWIM? like i don't wana spend $100 on something that is going to get broken or not be taken care of. so i may wait on that for right now.

they both love books and puzzels. but they have a TON already. i guess i could look into getting them a few new movies?

My kids also have a lot of toys so for Christmas we are getting them each one big toy and then books and board games the whole family can play together. We will also be getting them a few things they need like a few new warm outfits. My 18 month old daughter will be getting a play kitchen and play food, my 3 year old son will be getting a spiderman hand held game system and maybe something else and my 5 year old daughter keeps telling us different things she wants so we aren't quite sure yet but I am thinking a barbie play house and toy horses.

I have 3 girls and they all love the Lalaloosy dolls. They have them for all ages. My oldest girls love Moxie dolls, and Monster High too.
As far as Birthdays go..I let them pick their own gift with a 50 dollar limit. If they go under and I have extra, I will get them an extra toy. Usually it is just the 1 toy. With it I put cake, icecream, cheap decor (and I reuse it),We order a movie On Demand, and have hotdogs and chips
When celebration is over, they have a free fun day.
My kids think they have the best birthdays ever and I usually never spend over 100 for everything

i was looking at the lalaloopsy dolls. we have two right now, that my grandmother got for the girls last year. one is like crazy hair? and the other is the mermaid. that goes in the bathtub and her hair changes colors. haha..

I have a boy that will be 4 on November 28th and I need gift ideas for his birthday/christmas as well...

He has an Innotab and a Leapster Explorer that other people got him for Christmas last year and he loves them. The games are educational and they're great for keeping him occupied in the car and stuff. Those little cartridges are easy to lose though....

We always try to buy him toys we think he'll like and then he doesn't end up playing with 90% of them. He has a whole room full of toys that he never touches.

We got our 3 year old a spiderman action figure that shoots webs and its the only toy he has actually played with longer than a day he loves it. every time we get him something big we think he will love he plays with it for a day and gets bored with it.

That's the problem we have!

I asked DS the other day what he wants for his birthday and he said a microphone. He does love to sing along to the radio in the car so I'm thinking a kid's karaoke machine or something.
