barretts esophagus

Does anyone else have barretts esophagus? I was diagnosed back in March and recently found out I'm pregnant again. I called my gastroenterologist immediately and was told to stop taking my Prilosec asap as it has been shown to cause deformities. I'm so worried that without taking it that my barretts is going to get way worse which could cause different levels of dysplasia which more likely than not leads to cancer. There's a long list of new things I have to do to try to keep it under control and I've been doing them religiously but my reflux has noticeably gotten worse already and I'm only 5 weeks. Anyone have any more ideas on how I can keep it from worsening? Would you suggest a non-acidic diet?

I don't have Barrett's Esoph but there are things you can take that might at least help take the edge off. I took 300mg of Zantac a day while I was pregnant... well, I still take it, but I had the ok when I was pregnant to take it.

Just double check with your OB to be sure- they usually don't recommend more than 150/day I don't think.
