It still doesn't mean she has the flu

you didn't state any of that in the op. only the fever. everyone was simply saying that a fever doesn't equal the flu..

those symptoms are super non specific and caused by most viruses that are going around this time of year. It's still SUPER early into flu season, it's more likely she's got some kind of enteroviral infection.

If she has a runny nose, it is NOT the flu. The flu is not mucous producing. So she cannot have the flu if she has a runny nose.

No question she is sick, but it isn't the flu shot and she does not have the flu.

um.. where did you hear that? Nasal Congestion is part of the flu

Or she could have a cold AND the flu. They can happen at the same time

Per the doctor, the last time I had the flu.

Don't tell me the dumbass lied to me again? I looked it up, but what sources I found in the preliminary stages agreed with him so I didn't push further.

Nasal congestion (stuffy or runny nose) is a classic sign of the flu. The flu does produce mucous. Haven't you ever heard someone hacking up a lung when they have the flu?

Chest congestion but not runny nose was my understanding. Non-productive cough. Consistent with my experience, too. I had the flu last spring. It sucked. Nasty cough. Heavy chest. Not a hint of runny nose.

Either way, I stand on it having nothing to do with the flu shot.

Why not say her symptoms in the OP instead of waiting for people to say it's not the flu?

She had a virus before the flu shot, the fl shot did not give her the flu. It's a dead virus in the shot.
And it only protects against 3 strains and doesn't protects against anything airborne.
