Thank you for everyone's input/opinions! I don't have time to respond to each one directly and that always makes me feel bad, but I do read them all and take them into consideration. I like hearing what everyone has to say. So again, thank you!

Haha. Yea all my exs have smurffy names too! Lol. So it all worked out when it came to my son

It's not necessarily after his ex because she's such a great person or anything, it's just a name that I absolutely adore and she happens to have it. Ohhh, the things in life that aren't fair. When you plan your life out when your little these are situations that don't come up, haha.

Hmm actually, now that I've thought about it, I think I don't have a problem wih my dh's ex's name because she's never given us trouble and he isn't bitter or scarred by the relationship. It was an ok relationship that fizzled and ended. But I could never use my ex's name. He was a psychotic, abusive peice of smurf and I hate him so the name Joshua is out forever! Hate it.

You gotta love when the family wants to throw things out in the air just to mess with you, I'm from a family of ten and most have an opinion or something stupid to say that I do not agree with or believe.

Of the 2 exes that my SO has, the one he was with for 2.5 years has the name as me -_- She is absolutely psychotic, went to school with her, played in the same softball league as her, and work with her. You can guarantee I don't call him by his name and he does not call me by mine, I already disliked my name to begin with and after going through a year of harrassment from his ex, I want absolutely NOTHING to remind him of his past relationship with her and all the abuse she put him through. We have nicknames for each other. My family doesn't even use his name. Haha (:

I actually was good acquaintances with this girl, until I found out she was running her mouth when I started dating my SO. I guess it's my bad that I didn't ask him for a list of his exes before we got together? Haha, my bad. But I'd rather have his love over her acquaintance-ship anyway.

It sucks when someone ruins a name you like. DH's hoebaggy ex has a crappy name anyway, but even if it happened to be my favorite name in the universe it would just be out. Period.

I know exactly how you feel. I've always loved the name Adrianne but thats my husbands ex girlfriend, who when we first got together tried saying was her baby's dad.. Even though they hadn't been together for months. She still occasionally tries to talk to him and tell him about how she doesn't want to be with her baby daddy! It just sucks because I LOVE that name and had it picked out way before I knew her, but she ruined it for me.

I would LOVE it if his exes stopped calling and texting him. Makes me want to hile harrassment because they won't go away and the contact is clearly unwanted. Unfortunately both of his exes are now bestfriends b/c I replaced them both so it gives them some commonground to talk smurf about me. They HATED each other before me, the one threatened to slit the other's throat and put her in the hospital, but you know, now they're bffs, of course. Girls are weird.
