This is about what places around me charge as well but I have friend and some family who does potography so I haven't paid for prints in a long time.

For me the CD was important so I could put them on Facebook for our friends and family to see. I'm still slacking on hanging up the actual photos.  

Okay, so this is from the photographer who took our photos, but I saw this and squealed....how can I not share this?

Session Fees

Session fees are due before or on the day of your shoot
Payments can be cash, credit/debit, check or through PayPal.
A $25 non-refundable deposit fee is due at the time of booking or up to 5 days after.
If I do not receive this fee, your calendar spot will be open for the next client.

Mini Sessions | $75

Includes a 30-45 minute session at any one {1} location with a CD of the best 10 photos and a print release.
You may choose to purchase more photos on a CD for an additional cost.

Basic Package: includes one shoot with up 4 locations- $100

as well as any other photos you would like on it & music of your choice.
Senior GIRLS: Professional hair and make up is available for an additional fee.

Includes Maternity Mini Session, newborn, 6 months and 1 year photos including smash cake.

After each session you will receive:
16 wallet sized prints
At the end of 1 year you will receive:
a custom made slideshow on a DVD full of your images & music of your choice
& 20 custom 1st birthday party invites!

CD with all high resolution edited images: $100
Keep in mind: It is highly recommended that you choose to order your photo prints through me, if you order a CD. This is because I am able to print your photos at the best quality available though a professional printing lab. It is not recommended to print your photos off at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, or any other like store that does prints. This is because the print quality is not the same as you would get going through a professional, and it will not accurately show my work.

Seems more than fair. Have you been wanting/needing to raise prices? My heart goes out to photographers, you guys work your butts off and it is not a cheap career to be in!

I was just posting one of these threads. Last time I did people were like $50 with a copyright release.

That's crazy. My friend just opened her own studio. I am so happy for her. She dedicates so much time to it, and she volunteers her work like CRAZY! She's a part of this nonprofit group that come to take photos of babies when they are born and will not survive. She's been called up several times, and has gotten up to immediately leave to take beautiful photos. I think they are called something like, "Now I lay me down to sleep.." the photographers then (of course) donate all photos to the families.

This is just my opinion but I think you should really raise at least your wedding price.

These are the prices around here, well some of them. I haven't found one for UNDER $700 and they aren't even on the same level as your photos.

my friend paid over $1300 for her wedding photog and the pictures are horrible. Some people pay for the stupidest smurf...

My mom does Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep......she is the area coordinator so she is called for every one to find a pphotographer that is available if she doesn't do it herself. She gets called 3-5 times a week on average, sometimes more. I wouldn't be strong enough to do it, I know that is for sure.

I couldn't do it. It has always been such an amazing experience for it though. It's just a wonderful thing for them to do.
