Dilated to 8

So 4 fingers equals 8. I have been there since last night. No pain I can feel the contractions but I guess I am repeating my second son's birth. I was dilated to 10 and still didn't feel anything. UGH He had two water sacks, one was very small and wedged in between his neck and shoulder. Once it popped at 10 it was like a switch was flicked (I felt the pop) then pain and one push and he was out. I am just freaking because this one the water hasn't broke yet. I wonder if it will be a super quick delivery or slow. This boy is so stubborn. Which is EXACTLY how my second is that had the same birth. Now just waiting for my water to break. Which no I am not lucky because I am just in the dark of when my water will break. And when it does I am screwed because it is all of a sudden full on pain and a quick delivery. So I can't wander to far from home. Anyone else have this.....a no pain dilation?

No but i bet a lot of woman wish they did, now your doing this all on your own? or do you have someone there with you?

I wish! Lol. Good luck with everything though! I hope everything goes smoothly. And yeah I wouldn't even think about leaving the house while being that close. My sisters water (with her third) didn't break until she was pushing the baby out.

I think you just cursed me! LOL Pushing before my water breaks! But yes right now I am alone. My husband went to work because I have been contracting good with no pain. So we got into a huge fight and he went into work. I don't think he knows what to do, since I am not in any pain. :/

I could feel my contractions but they didn't hurt, at all.
I was dilating on my own, but my OB wasn't being very patient.
so I was given pitocin.. Then they really hurt bad.

Aww, that sucks that he left that day you could be having the baby.. Men are just plain weird i tell ya lol.. and so if the baby comes and your alone i assume you already know what to do?

I am not mad, he just doesn't understand. It is his first. Plus he is limited on vaca time because he is the boss, so he has to be careful how much time he takes off. Plus it has been a long bad road so I have had contractions before due to preterm labor and THOSE hurt, but all of a sudden they stopped being painful and I am dilating a lot. LOL so I am sure he is like WTF

I have been in preterm labor forever then I got off my meds to let him finally come, and my contractions left. I can feel the tightening but no pain whatsoever. Happened with my middle. But I wasn't in preterm labor with him. I am just waiting for my water to break I know he isn't coming till that happens. But with my middle it broke and still didn't feel anything till a second small bag broke. It was weird. With my first I wonder if I would of had the same thing but they gave me pitocin so yep pain, but that comes with pitocin. With my third he was really early and got stuck so yep lots of pain. But all three have been super quick. This one has been trouble from the beginning, but now it is so weird he is copying my second. It really freaks me out.

Yeah I know what to do. I have everything set up and ready. Plus with delayed cord cutting I am not in any hurry.

Whoever is checking you must have much bigger fingers then I do  . I measured my four fingers and they were just over 4 cm, closer to 5 cm.

I didn't find dilation all that painful (at times it was quite pleasurable) but it was very intense.

Yeah my husband has huge hands. He is 6'4. Trust me if you saw him walk into your room to check you, you would be like REALLY?! lol

I was thinking till it turned white and stops pulsating. Takes 30-60 minutes for that. I figured it will give me time to jump into the bath with him and clean up. I have a herbal bath that helps heal, and it works on him and I.
