Belly hair?
posted 9th Nov
What's up with having so much belly hair? I always had really short and light hairs before that weren't noticeable but now they keep growing longer and are a little darker too!
I don't want to shave them because I'm scared they'll grow back dark and thicker.... I have some random hairs under my bellybutton like that from shaving a long time ago. I just pluck those out, because there aren't many. But I wish I could get rid of those too!!

When I was pregnant with my son I grew belly hair!! So odd!! Now it seems to be gone.

Shaving does NOT make hair thicker or darker. That is an old wives tale\
Shave or pluck if you don't want them

My belly got sooo hairy with my pregnancy. I didn't shave or trim for the same reason. I figure it'll just go away once the baby gets here

my belly hair grows in really thick when pregnant. I shave it..
I did last pregnancy too.
After I had my daughter it didnt grow back in thicker...it returned to normal.

Lol I guess the hair is normal then! Hopefully mine will fall out after the baby, thanks all

It is an old wives tale that it isn't physically thicker after you shave, but it does appear thicker, because the razor gives the hair a blunt edge. So don't do it!!!

It's so CRAZY!! I have the same thing. I did notice that while preggo the hairs grow like wild fire in woods lol. After I have them it may come back thin, light and maybe it would take like 4-6 months to notice them. With this baby HERE. I have shaved it like 7 times already, very careful not to shave all over just catching the hairs. They are JET black and thick as ever! I wish the hair on my head could grow like that. Must be the hormones LOL. Plucking I am scared but I just brought a pair of tweezers I'm going to go for it.

I have the same thing. I asked the doctor and he said that it'll fall out after the baby is born. I definitely wouldn't shave the area as it will become stubbly and may become itchy, and that's the last thing you wanna feel on your tummy.

I have had s streak of black hair below my belly button since I was pregnant with my first. It never went away. I have tried shaving it and tweezing but when I do I get in grown hairs. It drives me bonkers. Especially when my husband laughs about it.

My belly has gotten hairy too. The hairs are a lot longer but not darker (thank goodness!), they are very blonde on my belly so I don't really see a point in shaving them. Really, I'm the only one that notices them anyways, and SO but he doesn't care either. He just says as long as my belly doesn't look like his, I'm good LOL (he has a very hairy belly!)

i'm growing it too, it's called linea negra and it will darken until you have a really dark line of hair going down your stomach.
You can google pics of it too.
It supposed to go away when you have your baby, mine isn't dark yet, but noticeable, at least to me.

Linea Negra isn't hair. It's skin pigmentation
