both of mine have had blankets since day one but my oldest had to be swaddled until he was about 7 months old and my little one i just tuck it under him and i always leave it under his arms but he sleeps under his tummy and hes 2 months old.

he wears a sleep sack at night and still gets cold, he hates being swaddled, hes had a blanket since he was born and has never had a problem with it, the only thing he does it kick it off of him.

id be more concerned if he could rolll over because then he would get himself tangled up in it.

But if he gets it over his face now, he wouldn't be able to move it off. That is the risk

They still have arms, in fact since DD was 1 month she's been pulling the blanket up over her face. Theres always the option of using crochet or knitted, theyre breathable.

thats why i tuck it under his bottom part with his arms free, he cant get out of it and he doesnt move in his sleep, he ends up sleeping in the bed with me most the time.

trust me, I know that

But sleeping with a blanket is a proven suffocation risk and it's 100% avoidable.

Can you link me atleast 5 reported cases of a child dying from specifically blanket suffocation? I know it happens but I don't think its as common as you are making it out to be, I doubt you can get me 5 links. Its the same as "cats killing babies"

I understand you think its high risk and do what you can to avoid it but I feel like you're over reacting a bit. Everything has risk, Accidents happens, thats life. You can't keep your baby in a bubble
