35 Weeks full of PAIN!

posted 9th Nov
Ladies help me out, give me your thoughts. I am having so much lower back pain. When I go to urinate sitting on the toilet gives me pain in my pelvic area and sometimes when I go I am getting a little pain. Yesterday I has an meeting and I was sitting and waiting for about 3 1/2 hours. After that my lower back pain was in full detached mode. It felt like it wasn't even connected to my spine. By the time I got home I could barley walk. I made it up the stairs to my room and my poor boys saw mommy stuck in the bed I swear I felt paralyzed. After sleeping about 4 hours I got up VERY slowly and I was in even more pain. My ankles felt like they were going to explode and I kid you not it took so much for me to stand up right and walk downstairs to the kitchen. I almost fell down the stairs TWICE because my hip bone and legs don't seem to be working together along with the detached back and swollen ankles. LADIES HELLLPP!

Oh and I forgot this detail ladies, about 2 years ago I had an umbilical hernia and I had to get surgery. The place of entry is right under my belly button. At times the scar hurts, and it feels as though it is tearing sometimes. Can we say, let's go into labor...

Sounds normal, they're probably laying on your back and/or on a nerve. DS was back-to-back and I had really awful back pain. Beside back and hip pain are all part of a normal pregnancy, some women suffer bad, some don't.
My hips hurt like hell too towards the end, I remember SO having to lift me out of bed a couple of times (all while he was making whale noises LOL.)
If you're really swollen or the pain is really bad talk to your doctor. You can get support belts for the back and hip pain.
The scar is right on your belly, where it is stretching, scar tissue isn't really stretchy so it would feel very tight and pull a lot. Plus the fact that it was a hernia won't help as the muscles will be weaker. Try moisturizing with oil or a good moisturizer like cocoa butter to keep it supple.

I am only having one baby and this being my third time around I am just like why is this go round so freaking difficult. I have never experienced this much back, leg, stomach pains. But I guess like the old saying goes every time is different . Thanks for the reply, though this is not normal for me, you saying it's normal means I shouldn't be full of alarm. 34 days in counting.

It generally can get worse the more babies you have :/ the muscles and ligaments are more stretchy and aren't as strong as they used to be, I have a few friends who were on their second or third when I was on my first and they suffered a lot worse than I did, one had to be signed off sick from work for the rest of her pregnancy and have physiotherapy. Go to your doc and ask about SPD, get a support belt and put those feet up when you can
