Why? They're helping. My mum grabs me diapers sometimes if they're on sale. She wants to, she doesn't feel like she has to. It doesn't make you smurffy.

No one expects you to do it all at 15 op. The most important thing is that you are taking care of your lo and it's great that you have your family's love and support. Just realize that things are going to be a lot harder when you get out on your own.

Well you're 15. You can't provide for him 100%. You're not a smurffy mom, you're just a child yourself. You can't expect to be able to provide like an adult.

You know, you're young. And a parent. Someone is always going to have negative things to say. I had my first at 19 and I still got snide remarks and looks. Ignore it. Don't let it affect you, really. You just keep doing what you have to to give yourself and your child a good life.

Well thanks everyone i will not do this on a paper now lol I will hopefully find somthing else by Monday. But thanks for not being rude about this.

Nobody's upset-just having a discussion about things that relate to teen parents and reasons why people like those women make comments to you. That's all.

Got pregnant at 21 but had just graduated with my bachelor degree, my son has always been well taken care of financially, emotionally and physically so I don't agree with the topic

Write a paper on the struggles of being a teen mom. That would make a good paper, IMO. Instead of the fake BS you see on Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant.

I had my son at 18 and am a great mom and my son is best off with me.
Bad moms dont deserve kids not young moms...
quoteposted 9th Nov
There are a lot of young mothers/fathers in my family. My mother was 16 when she got pregnant with my oldest brother. My dad already had 2 kids. She was 17 taking care of a newborn, a 9 month old and an almost 2 yr old. My father had several jobs including working for my grandfather at the moving company he owned at the time, truck driving, and as a mechanic. He was rarely home so he could support his family and my mom was often alone with 3 of my brothers. My half brother's mother was a useless sack of bones who let her kids play in the garbage. My mom went on to have 3 more kids. And she has always managed. I love my mom, she is the strongest, kindest and most understanding woman I know. I don't know where I would be if she'd given any of us up. My brother was 16 when he got his gf pregnant, 17 when my niece was born and my nephew was born one year and 10 days later. My other brother was 18 when his oldest was born and I was 18 when I got pregnant with my oldest, 19 when he was born. If anybody ever came up to any of us with insulting comments we would definitely have something to say in return, from the rude "I'm sorry do they not teach you manners and common decency at the retirement home?" to the much nicer "I can understand your opinion, however my son is well cared for and is not lacking for anything, especially LOVE. I suggest you keep your hurtful opinions to yourself next time you see a young mother"
I DO see how you can write a paper about this, discussing the world's perspective of young mothers. State your case as an example, explain what happened, what was said, how it made you feel. And when you do...Make a copy of it and keep it in your diaper bag, just in case you see that nasty old lady again.
