Do I think they have the "right"? No, I know they have the right. That's how rights work. You have the legal right to keep your child.

I don't think it's always-if ever-the best choice for the very young, however.

This. Any woman has the capability to be a bad mom or a good mom, no matter their age.

My opinion? People should mind their own business unless it directly affects their life. Women have been having babies at young ages since the beginning of time....nothing new.

I usually try not to put an age on stuff like that. I feel like if you're 15 and up, given the right kind of support and giving it everything you have, you should never have your kid taken away.

I feel like 14 and younger though....I just...like I don't think the kids should be taken away either, but I really don't see how a 12-13 year old would have any knowledge at taking care of a human life...

I guess it comes down to if you're a good mother or not. I don't care if they're 40 years old...if you're a smurffy parent and can't take care of your kid, your kid should be with someone else.

I'm 23 with two and live my life just fine. In fact, my kids have traveled more than most older adults. They're good with me.

OP I am 21. I got pregnant with my LO at 19 and had him at 20..so I don't see why me being young makes me incapable of being a parent.

It doesn't matter how young you are as long as you can look after the child and be there for it and never put yourself before them, who cares what people think, I used to live where women were 40 and couldn't even look after there kids, as the saying goes age is just a number..young people can be great mothers and very mature for there ages. No person has a right to take a mothers child

Some older women came up to me while i was at the doctors with my son and told me that i needed to give my kid to someone older. So when i went to class later i told my teacher about it and she told me to ask some women and get there opinion on it and write a paper on it and turn it in 2 days. So sorry if im making people upset.

This...

How would one even write a paper on this?

And I don't understand why mothers under 25 ((assuming since you said early 20s)) should have to give their child to the system..lmfao. If that were true, they would have to pull him out of my cold, dead hands.

You look super young. How old are you?

Still not their business, though.
