Pell grants are for Fall and Spring.   Summer's kind of a 'You're on your own' semester.

I got the pell grant all 3 semesters when I was in school.

Odd, I asked about it for Summer and was told it wasn't for summer semester... o.o Same with student loans. Maybe my school's financial aid department just sucks...

Yeah, I just looked it up, what you use in summer for Pell comes out of your Fall and Spring Semester, so I'll have to wait until my NEXT Pell grant to get anything for summer. If it's just 2 classes, I may be able to do payments or something, there's a lot of Early Childhood Scholarships at my school.

When I wanted to go back to school they approved it for all 4 semesters

Yeah, I just looked it up. I have to wait until the next Pell to do it because it comes out of my allotment for fall. And last time it cut real close because of how expensive my books and supplies were, so I'm still going to look into other options.

Hmmm... ill have to keep that in mind when I finally go back. I want to wait till lo is at least one, he's my last so I want to spend as much time with him as I can while he's a baby

They didn't do that to mine at all. I remember because I started in fall and my pell grant amount was always $1337 and I laughed because that's Leet and I'm a nerd like that.

Yeah, here they split it in half, so if you get the full 5500, you get 2250 per semester. And if you use part of that for summer, it slices your fall one in half. So about 1125 per semester.
