re: shared custody...easier?

My ex and I have split and love it!!

The ex and I have shared custody, but she lives with me, and I have never had a "break" from mommy duty lol. She's with me full time. She has major separation anxiety, if I gave her to him, she would scream and cry the entire time until she saw me again. Next year she might be ready to go to her dads, but she's not emotionally ready right now.

See that is how my sister feels too. She has shared and she loves it!

I work from home and go to school full time I have been a single parent sense I was 10 weeks pregnant (2009) except for four months this past year when I got back together with my x-husband I don't even have contact with my son's father and have had my son every day except one night sense he was born and a few hours on Thursday when I am at class. It has become so routine for me that although it can be frustrating at times I miss the chaos when it's quite.

I definitely understand. I don't have friends out here either, we just moved to Columbus. Well i have one but shes on bed rest. My husband has already made friends with his co workers so I get a little jealous when he goes out.

Totally get ya. Dh was in the military for a long time and yes he always made friends with the guys in his shop right away, it was harder for me though!

It's okay, she's getting better day by day. I feel awful for her though, because I can't even walk away from her for a second without her losing her mind- she's almost 4, so I was hoping she would be out of this by now. I couldn't even send her to preschool this year, it would've been too traumatizing for her.
