He is making you reliant on him.

I would be annoyed as well if my SO told me I can't buy a coffee LOL. I work 50 hours a week, if I want to buy a coffee.. it's not his place to tell me no lol

Definitely agree he is making you reliant on him... and you already said its like he loves the power. I'd be sitting him down and making it very clear that things need to change and he needs to stop being so selfish... and if they didn't, I'd be seriously considering whether the relationship was worth continuing. You can't spend your life worrying about what you can and can't have based on what HE thinks is appropriate.
