Funny, but I was serious...

posted 8th Nov
On the way home tonight, my oldest 2 kids and I were discussing my oldest's girlfriend that he was holding hands with when I dropped him off at school this morning. My son got out of the car and found his girlfriend in the car in front of us and they held hands going into the school.

DD: "Mason's girlfriend's name is Emily"
Me: "No, her name is Katelyn"
Mason: "No, I got 4 girlfriends"
Me: "well, you only need one girlfriend"
Mason: "No! I need 4, I got 4 girlfriends"
Me: *in silent disbelief*
Mason: "What, Momma? Are you mad?"
Me: "You are lucky you are only 7....."

It was funny, but I was dead serious.

lol I will be honest, the polygamist thought did cross my mind a short time after.   I guess if that was the route he chose in life, then I would be happy for him. I wont be happy if he is cheating on girls, but since he is only 7 now, the I wwont take it all seriously at the moment.

That is my son exactly. He comes home with brownies that I know I didnt make or pack for him.
He comes home with phone numbers, pages that girls colored for him, pictures girls colored for him...the list goes on.

agreed. My daughter will not be holding hands with boys in school when she is 7, I don't think that is appropriate.

This isnt anything new. My son has been in school for 3 yrs. He already had a girl kiss him on the cheek. This girl was holding his hand with her mother watching as well. There were about 3 other girls in the past who have done the same thing. It's not inappropriate. It's not like they are having sex and making out. They are 7.

It's your kid, as long as you and the girls parents are fine with it.
My son would not be allowed to behave that way, I find it inappropriate, not cute at all.

Judging by your display name...you are the last one who should be calling anything trashy.
