Quoting Justine's Mama:" Oh so cervadil and stuff is just to help dilate your cervix and if it doesn't work they just go straight ... [snip!] ... in the morning on the 14th start pitocin. So I was curious what happens if the cervadil doesn't do anything for your cervix."
I was given pitocin and the more you contract it causes you to dilate and open up. Cervadil didnt do anything for me be honest but everyone different , it worked great for my friend. Pitocin is just hard on your body , IMO because regular contractions dont hurt as bad as the ones you get from having pitocin. But yes if the cervadil doesnt work most doctors use pitocin as the next step.
