We had an empty jar of pickles and decided to put some boiled eggs, onions, jalapenos, etc.. in the jar. Question is how long should everything sit until the eggs and everything will absorb the pickled flavors? Does anyone else do this?
I would put them in vinegar, not old pickle juice... yuck.
I use a can of sliced beets, a sliced onion, and hard boiled eggs, and place them in the beet juice, a bit of water, and white vinegar and then let them sit for a day an a half in the fridge, then they are done. Yum!
Yeah it was SO's idea and he's running with it. Just not sure. The pickles were just opened before they got devoured and he wanted to do this. Just wondering how long we should let them set before we eat. We did flavor with onion, jalapenos, and garlic, so I think will be pretty good. Hopefully, lol.
