TTC Update.!!

Okay so i had an Dr. Appointment Nov. 2nd and My doctor told me some Bitter-Sweet News on me and My Boyfriend ttc.She said that since i just got off of depo that it will take some time.. she told me to expect a period around Jan.2013, and then i could continue to try and concieve. The only thing is that i dont think my Boyfriend understands that completely. I'm somewhat discouraged about having to wait till january and im not really in the mood to have sex anymore.. however he's the complete opposite.. he wants to keep having sex.. idk what i should tell him or what i should do to make him understand and not feel neglected.

keep at it, theres not telling when you can concieve even after getting off depo, i got off depo and had a period the month i got off it. keep trying, maybe youll be pregnant by january.

I don't really understand, are you saying that you only want to have sex if it means that you'll stand a chance of conceiving? If so I can see why he'd be offended and I'm not really sure how you can get him to be understanding about it.

Honestly dear docs aren't always right, they can predict and tell you what they think but I know quite a few ppl who got off depo and conceived within 2 months of being off.. just because you doc says one things you don't necessarly need to think that's concrete, also try not to think baby just enjoy being close and intimate with your BF and you will more then likely want to have sex. I know it can be depressing but don't give.up and just enjoy making babies   goodluck Hon hope it all turns out for you!

It's common that depo delays a woman from starting after coming off of it but every body is different. Have fun with sex...it may just happen before then...sex should never be a chore and should never be about just having a baby but I know it's depressing knowing you might take a while to get pregnant. Depression can kill your sex drive...just keep doing it and your drive will come back.

No its just that knowing he wants to conceive and its not happening right now doesnt make me feel anymore better about us having sex.. i feel like i have a beter chance on trying in jan instead by then i should for sure have my period.

So then don't bother thinking about TTC right now, just let it happen if it happens, and start worrying about it in January. Until just have sex like you normally would in a relationship in which you weren't ttc. Plus there's always the chance that you could conceive, it's not guarranteed that you won't so that might help to fuel your drive.

Well not every day but every other day is good but when you sex drive seems to lower not having sex at all can make it worse. I am saying don't have sex just to ttc...keep having sex for the fun of it...conceiving may just happen without you thinking about it. When January comes then start really start looking into ttc.

Exactly!

Honestly, you're more likely to get pregnant if you're having sex fairly frequently starting now because you have to ovulate to get a period. Plus, it doesn't hurt to practice baby dancing   

I know how you feel, I am just getting off the Depo shot, I am suppose to go back to my 3rd shot next month, but me and my boy are ttc, now I have done a lot of looking around about this depo shot, sometimes it can happen quicker than Jan, just dont make it like it is something you have to do. Just try and give it ago. If it happens before Jan it happens if not, it doesn't. I know where you are at right now cause I am in the same boat.
