Judah

posted 8th Nov
Is Judah a boy or girl's name? I've been cruising the baby name sites today, and was actually originally looking at the name Marley. (I know, there was a dog named Marley, but there was also a singer!)

I ended up clicking on some article on Bob Marley to take a break, and then saw what he named his daughter. Judah.

' ');

I loved it immediately. I called my husband and I was like, "I found her name! I found her name!"

My mistake was googling the name Judah. Because then I found out that it's considered a boy's name. *Bangs head on wall*

But we're still holding out that it can work as a girl's name...Yes, no maybe? Can Judah work as a strong, kind of different, feminine name?

Meh, people name their children opposite sex names all the time. I think it would be cute for a girl.

  That drives me crazy, especially because I love Ryan for a boy. And I've always been very firm about sticking to a gender within a name.

But I love it so much....

All boy. Nothing feminine about it. I personally don't think it works. But it's better than naming your daughter Ryder, Ryan, or Dylan I suppose.

I'd stick with Marley now that's adorable.

Judah is a boys name. It's not a name for a girl and should never EVER be used as such. Boys names are boys names and girls names are girls names.

Marley isn't my favorite girls name, but it beats Judah by a long shot.
