Pierced Mommies

posted 8th Nov
How did you care for your piercings so they didn't get infected ? I had my belly button & Monroe done in June 2011 , & they never healed right. My belly button piercing pushed itself out when I was about 15 weeks pregnant & my Monroe grew over when I took it out to have my c-section.

I just got them redone today , & I want them to heal right this time ! So advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I have soaked all of mine is sea salt. None of mine have ever gotten infected. Epsom salt works just as well. Then again I never took mine out for pregnancy or delivery, I just used spacers.

Warm water and anti-bacterial soap, daily, a few times a day.

The best thing to use to clean it would be a sea salt solution. You can get bottles of the H2Ocean spray from the place you got it pierced or hot topic. They even sometimes carry sea salt spray in the jewelry dept. at walmart.

I like the LITHA method.
Leave It The Hell Alone
The less you 'fiddle' with it, the better it will heal. Do a sea salt soak once a day, and thats it!

This! And buy your own sea salt. Don't pay a ridiculous price for the sea salt spray.

You will end up spending stupid amounts on saline spray or H2Ocean spray. You can make your own with regular sea salt from the store.
