Both my kids going into therapy :(

posted 8th Nov
Wow. I don't even know how to start this.
So, I've known for a while that Lila was different. She's always been my oddball child and so when the doctors told me that they were concerned it wasn't REALLY a big surprise.
But when Reilly stopped progressing this last couple months and even regressing I did start to worry.
The doctors are going to be sending a speech and motor skills therapist to the house once a week for both the girls. They said this is the first step to finding out what's going on. But that she wouldn't be surprised if some form of autism was the diagnosis for both
This is a lot to take in

Thanks. I mean nothing is set in stone or anything yet but it's still scary to know that the doctors think that BOTH my children might have something "wrong" with then

I was currently going through this as well. My son was diagnosed with Autism PDD-NOS. We've had a speech, occupational and early intervention. Now he's turning 3 years old on Sunday and we were not able to continue through Tri Counties Regional, so now he's moving on to a Special Needs program at a school. They believe with this educational experience that he'll catch up.
My daughter has early intervention and physical therapy because she was very late sitting, crawling...etc.

You're not alone
