My husband and I have four kids together, he has three from a previous marriage and I had one, I have named all of my children by my self pretty much, only asking if he liked my choice, his ex-wife did the same thing, so with this one I thought it would be special if he did it (even though its been driving me NUTS!) I had no idea what he was going to pick, but I did not want him to feel bad if I said I did not like it, and I mean come on is Achilles really that bad? I think I like it...

Achilles is at least a real name, blaze however is not.

My brothers name is Teal (it's a name you either love or hate) and we get alot of people commenting on it when they hear us say it, and how they love how it's so different. Can be used for a boy or a girl

I think if it were paired with a more classical sounding name it would sound better.

Plus, if you could get your husband to agree to change the middle name, he could go by a classical sounding middle name if he didn't like being called Achilles. But now your son is kinda screwed.

I did try to get him to go with Achilles Owen...or Achilles Ryley...but he is stubborn and said that if I was going to change it I should not have let him have the freedom to name him what ever HE wanted and this is what he wants...I even said what if he doesn't like it, he said hes a guy and he knows what names guys like..whatever lol
