Super annoyed with SO

A month before my pregnancy, my best friend and I started drifting apart. I would always have to text her first or initiate us hanging out and things like that. Super one sided so I quit trying. It's exhausting, you know? I didn't personally tell her I was pregnant and she freaked. This was in January. Well I didn't personally tell anybody.. I just posted it on facebook for everyone to find out all at once. We resolved that to an extent and would chat on and off.. Well the last time I had heard from her I was 4 months pregnant. DD is now 6 weeks and I hadn't heard from her at all. She didn't even acknowledge her smurfing birth and we were "best friends."

I posted a quote on facebook that kind of pertained to getting rid of dead weight in your life and things like that. Well this morning I woke up to a huuuuuge message with her saying all this stuff and that she's hurt I didn't tell her I was pregnant or invite her to my shower, blah blah blah. Well we weren't talking, why would I invite you to my shower? Meh.

Well come to find out right before my shower, she had seen SO out somewhere and begged him to have me call or text her because she had lost my #. HE NEVER SmUrfING TOLD ME. He hates her btw. Ya, I know I was pissed at her, but I would have called or text her to try and fix things. UGH.

Like, who are you to withhold that from me? Knowing how lonely I was my entire pregnancy? I'm irritated. We talked about it and he SWEARS he told me but he most definitely didn't. I don't forget things very easily. He's been kissing my ass alll day long now. Am I right to be mad?

I would say you have a right to be upset weather he likes her or not he should have told you but if she's your bf you will work it out

if you have her on facebook and she lost your number and wanted to work things out why didn't she just get a hold of you through facebook??

I understand being annoyed, but do you think he maybe just forgot? Or really thinks he did tell you?

Why didn't she contact you on facebook before?

He probably just forgot. My SO does that all the time where he swears he told me something but I know he never did. Can't you just explain to her what happened and try to work on things now?

He HATES her. Blames her for any relationship problems we've had. I think it was purposely.. Who knows for sure though. I'm not going to let this make a problem in our relationship, it's just annoying cause I feel like this could have all been resolved ages ago.


And I honestly see it both ways. I said that same exact thing to her. She's been my friend on facebook and could have messaged me then. That's what doesn't make sense. And she could have acknowledged my daughters birth because she obviously saw the post when she was born, ya know? It's just a smurffy situation all around.

This is seriously why all my friends have been boys forever, there's just not any complicated smurf. Grrrr.

Ok this is what I think. Forget the smurf that's gone down. Don't be angry at SO, there's no point. This all seems like it can be water under the bridge, if you's are just willing to say, let's let it go. There is blame for miscommunication on both sides.

Like you're angry that she didn't acknowledge your daughters birth since she's your >best friend< ... That right there should answer your question about "why would you invite her to your baby shower even if you guys weren't talking?"

You know what I mean?
