I saw her again yesterday.

Quoting Alyssa's Mama *:" what exactly is feeding therapy ?"
He has sensory sensitivities, and the texture of food made him stop eating at around 18 months old- which caused him to drop weight rapidly. His feeding therapy involved helping him accept the textures of food on his hands, his lips and in his mouth through exposure and sensory tools.

She mentioned too much canned food? Besides the broth in the BBQ, what is canned? The veggies?

Quoting MommaSav2:" No that diet is not terrible. Is there any way you could add more legumes? Beans, nuts etc. and more ... [snip!] ... is a GOOD thing, and considering your son's troubles i would see her growth as a victory. Keep doing what your doing, mama."
Thanks! I'm trying to get more legumes in, but it's what we struggle with the most. And I can't puree them into anything, since he's recently boycotted any sauces or dips. Some times I can get him to eat roasted pecans, but even then it's only a few.

The veggies come from a local farm. So does the chicken.
I guess the yogurt, the chewy bar and the peanut butter are all prepackaged.

I don't think it's bad at all.

Your daughter is under 1, yeah? Babies are supposed to be chubby, it's good when they have a little extra meat if they get sick etc. When she gets full on moving, she will slim down.

I saw you said your son stopped eating at about 18 months, and that's why he dropped a lot of weight? I don't see how she thinks that's lucky.

What the hell? I don't see anything wrong with what your feeding. It seems less than what I would think a four year old would eat. What does she suggest you feed him?

Also I'm not sure my daughters weight at this moment, at 8 months she was 16 or 17 pounds. She is 10 months now and eats 5-6 8oz bottles a day plus breakfast (fruit) lunch (veggie or pasta, chicken etc) and dinner (veggies, pasta or meat) my doctor thinks her diet is fine. I would personally seek a second opinion maybe, especially since he has had eating issues.

Shes 10 months, 29 inches and 24lbs. She dropped almost a full pound from her last visit- I think because she's started crawling and cruising all day.

That seems fine to me. DS is 16 months today and he's 34 inches and 29 lbs but he's been the same weight for like 6 months, he's only gotten taller bc he's been mobile. I think both your kids are fine and it seems like you are doing well with your son even with his feeding problems.

Every time I argued that DD was eating a healthy diet, and as a baby couldn't really be overweight, she kept saying
"By looking at her, I can tell you right now you are predisposing her to a lifetime of weight struggles. She looks over weight."
This is what she looks like... I think she looks like a normal 10 month old.

She looks healthy to me. Babies are supposed to be a little chubby! She's adorable! I wouldn't worry about what that nurse said!

You should request not to see that nurse again. She's a nut job. Was she by any. H chance very thin, or in another vein, overweight.
