Buying American-made products

Pretend you're at the store shopping and there are 2 items on the shelf that are completely identical, except one was made in the USA and costs $30 and the other was made in China and costs $20.

Do you pay the extra $10 for the American made item or do you save $10 and grab the one made in China?

I've never paid attention, but always assumed things that I purchased were not American made.

On the other hand, DH's tools must be American made.

You can find most things American made if you look hard enough.

This is why America is losing all of the factory jobs. And then people complain that there are no jobs. Maybe if you buy American?

This also goes along with people wanting us to raise the minimum wage. Sure, raise minimum wage and then watch the cost of things go up with it. Then complain that people aren't making enough money to pay for things and demand they start paying you more.

We have a store here called Made in America. It has only American made products. More expensive but I love it.

Ours doesn't have a website, but this is the one in NY.

I buy American made whenever I can. I also buy locally made or produced items as much as I can so I can help out my local economy and small businesses. It might cost a little more short term, but I feel better doing it that way.

Currently, I"d have to buy the one that is cheapest. But we prefer American made. Our cars are at least. lol

I would buy the cheaper one...sadly. I have a tight budget.

My dad goes through EVERY item to make sure it's made here and occasionally he'll buy German. Grocery trips take forever.
