Quoting POCOYO:" call your local health department and report the school of lice outbreak if you do everything right its not you nor your kid its still in the school it wont stop until the school checks every kid"
I didn't know I could do that but I definitely will. This is just insane, I HAVE EVEN CAUGHT IT. I flipped out and did a big no no and double dosed myself. It's got me at my wits end and the school literally refuses to say they have any other children with it so I just assumed it must've been the friend that slept over but somehow, she keeps developing it.

Also... How in the world do I get all the nits out of her hair? She has very fine hair and as much as I comb, i still find some.

good luck !

& that's ridiculous, her school should have sent out a letter to the parents about the lice situation..because if your daughter has it, and her friend doesn't..then you said she probably got it from school.
So, if you get rid of your daughters lice, & she goes back to school, she's just going to keep on getting them.
Maybe, talk to the school principal ?

Quoting La Dolce Vita♥:" I spray Rylee's hair with a lice repellent spray everyday before she goes to school. She hasn't caught ... [snip!] ... anything yet, but I don't want to chance it. Maybe look into that for her? There are also shampoos that natually repel lice. "

where do you buy it?

Walmart. It's in a green bottle. It smells like bug spray when you first spray it, but I let it sit for a while and then use her detangler to get rid of the smell lol

Every time I get head lice here we use vinegar mixed up with conditioner and leave that in the hair for about 10 minutes, shower it out and then go through with a comb. Also after washing everything we spray vineger all over everything. It makes the house smell horribly of vinegar but it seems to do the trick.

Also teatree oil in shampoo and/or conditioner is what my mom use to do when I was a kid because I got lice ALL the time! Lice hate the smell!

use a robie comb for a few weeks everyday, its an electric comb that kills them on contact, my daughter had the same issue last year at this time too. it was hell, but then my ped told me about the comb and it worked awesome!

I would wash everything and the second I removed it, all the bedding and clothes should go into garbage bags and tied tight. Spray all the couches and beds with lice spray, pack the kids up and set off bug bombs in the house. Go to a friend's house or a cheap hotel for the night and treat ALLL of you BEFORE touching any of the beds. Both kids and adults. once the kids are asleep, go out and spray the entire care with the lice stuff as well and bag the clothes you are wearing to wash when you get home. That SHOULD annihilate that shiz.
