Quoting David Closs:" we put our daughter in clothes we brought from home and they had no probs with it. She wore sleep and ... [snip!] ... heartbeat and temp and everything. You could dress your child in whatever you want. Gowns are wonderful but we didnt pack any. "

here is discouraged. dressing them up "cute" only benefits you... not the child.

i personally dont think you could get more comfortable than a snap front tshirt, diaper, and swaddled up in a light cotton blanket... they're just new babies, not toys, and dolls to decorate and play with

you'd "flip out" over something so stupid?

wow you're going to make an awesome mother! you dont have any kids, i was just giving you advice. have fun taking home a pile of dirty laundry from the hospital. and \"something familiar" .... really? your kid has never seen any of its clothes. you just sound super weird.

The stuff I have picked out isn't for cute it's for first's.
You may live somewhere where they prefer that. And that's fine. But here's it's different I guess. I just asked what should pack. Not for someone to assume I'll be playing dress up, and Not be told she's not a toy, or a doll, to decorate. I'm not stupid... I know that. That was uncalled for.

All baby clothes are meant to have easy access.

And I've got a few gowns I was told specifically by my doctor to pack. They like those thanks :3

I do realize that. I also realize that you know nothing about me, or how long regardless of my age I've had to be an adult. Or how stable I am both financially and mentally for a child. Or that I've already worked as a full time nanny, and certified in early childhood education. Age has nothing to do with what kind of parent you're going to be unless you're still in school. And then you just need a little help. Why come on here to try and make someone feel bad. I know very well when my due date is, I've been instructed to start preparing, and there is nothing wrong with being eager. Why are you so angry? What's the matter with you. Just get off my post if me being 19, and trying to get prepared is bothering you. Or my choices to dress my baby how I prefer seem, childish... Then don't post.

Age has nothing to do with smurf. A young mother can be just as great of a mother as someone older. Whats the difference in someone who is 33 to 19 and both first time moms, nothing you both know smurf and both are new at it. You can off real fiesty with me too. I don't get it I guess some people think theyre better then others.

It's cool man. Judgmental people get under my skin. But then what can you do?

She doesn't matter and my baby will always be fed and clothed. And every first parent goes through that first phase of the baby being unreal almost like a doll. My boyfriend has a 3 year old. He's preparing me for that phase. He's 26. I'm pretty sure that's only... 2 years younger than you? And rakes in more than if I worked three jobs. Age doesn't matter. It's the person and how they handle the situation. Not the number associated.

What does age have to do with it? Im 19 and Im not a child. I guarantee Im more of an adult than some 30 year olds. I dont see the issue with being prepared early. My husband and I want to get everything done early because this is our first too. I would say that its a good thing to be prepared early than not be prepared at all.

Thank you.

And I just realized in one of her post's, and not to keep the drama going but it really really pissed me off. You stupid bitch, don't call my child a toy. I don't care what your opinion about me or my mothering skills. I know damn well she's not a smurfing toy and I'd prefer you not refer her to one.

End I don't need anymore replies to this I appreciate the women who took my questions seriously and didn't just see an easy shot to be taken. Thanks. I figured out and got aside what I needed. If I'm weird for wanting to be prepared whatever. For someone who could go into labor between now and my due date. I should have been packing this bag two weeks ago. Thanks for the legit advice guys.
