Tonsil stones

My throat has been sore for 3-4 days, and I have referred pain in my ears. It's hard to swallow and when I'm lying down it's hard to breathe through my mouth.
SO looked down my throat and said it looked like I had tonsil stones, what the hell do I do about them?

You can go to the doctor to remove them, or you can try to get them out yourself. There's a little gland where they form, and you can kind of push them out. Just be careful not to scratch your gums. Use a good flashlight and watch while you do it in the mirror. It's happened to me once, and my throat felt so much better the next day.

I'm uninsured so if I can't do it myself I will. What did you use to get them out?

I used gloves and my finger.

Google oil pulling. I did this up until Igot my tonsils out at 18. It helps get them out.

I get them all the time and use a q-tip to get them out, it's so nasty but really helps
