My puppy

Ok so I'm actually not due till Dec but having some complications...you can read other posts if you are curious. My question is though, did any of you mommas have animals that started acting different when you got closer to delivering? I have a boxer, a lab/shepard mix and a smurfzu. All three have started acting...different than normal. Is it something that they can sense or what?

Nope. My animals went on just as usual.

However, when my Father died they acted weird.

I have to shih-poos they are acting strange they are very friendly but they bark at anyone who walks past me or even across the street they growl if someone is outside my door one sleeps on my hip all night. Animals are smart they know

all my animals started getting more "attached" we have an old cat who would come and lay on my belly but that was about 2 months before I actually went into labor and had my baby..all my animals seemed to be "different". My dogs would jump up on my lap and lay their heads on my belly and just snuggle, which was out of the norm because they would usually just want to play and would force me to play fetch with them and that had stopped....

I have heard that animals are VERY in tune with us and know when we're pregnant.

I have a cavalier spaniel and he has become very protective of me. And the closer I get to my due date (1-3), he has been getting even more clingy. Always laying next to or on top of me, especially if I am home alone. I am very interested in seeing how he is going to be with the baby.

I guess I should clarify. We live with my MIL who has the lab and smurfzu. The boxer is mine. Early in pregnancy my boxer was very attached, wouldn't let anyone near me, slept by my feet and took very good care of momma. We moved in with MIL and he started slowly weaning away from me to play with the other dogs which was normal. One night I had a bad incident and the smurfzu stood guard over me until ambulance got here and even then he would barely let them near me. Now the smurfzu does what my boxer used to do, stand guard, sleep at my feet and such. The lab has been acting very timid and shy and shaky and acts completely different! She will come up to me but is very cautious. My boxer whines all the time now and won't stop unless he is laying in my lap. I'm just wondering if I need to push a vet visit or what?

My friends dog would attack anyone that came near me at the end of my pregnancy...

I'm just concerned something is wrong with them but I don't want to worry if it is just the dogs doing a normal thing.
