It wont matter if her mom was ferral..fixing her might calm her down a bit..but more than likely she will still have a lot of energy especially at night. Was she ferral as a kitten? Life expectancy of FeLV is usually a couple years but she could live longer...and cats can have no symptoms and still be a carrier.

they diagnosed her around 8 weeks old. we nursed her and the other 4 kittens because mom died giving birth. all died except her. she is over a year old now. always super hyper but alive. i just wish i lived in a bigger place since she has to stay inside.

Then her Mom being a Feral really has no Bearing on her Personality.
She's just a Nut Job Cat! Lol!
But the fact she Didn't have an Adult Cat/Mom/Mentor around during the Crucial Periods might be a part of that.
And No another Cat won't help, & in fact another Cat will just end up with you having to take care of Vet Bills for Both in regards to Leukemia.

Spaying and neutering is always great, especially with mixed breed cats.

Buuut, feline leukemia can be passed on easily to other cats, so I still wouldn't be letting her outside.

Yeah...don't worry too much about it..you can buy her a cat tree/ jungle gym and scratching posts....leave the TV on for her when you leave. She's lucky you are keeping her and loving on her  .

YES!! Listen to this ^^
Go fix your cat whether she is inside or outside (hopefully not)

well she already has leukemia so i wasnt really worried about her getting any sicker...however regardless if i was going to fix her her or not doesnt matter anymore. she got out of the house while i was at work tonight...she is an indoor cat due to her disease and its been 3 hours and no sign of her. we went and looked around outside and found nothing. im heartbroken

It's still better to get her fixed anyways. Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that! Usually cats stay close to home when they escape especially look under bushes and cars. I hope you find her!

thanks...we went outside with flashlights and looked for her last night and then SO looked around again today..no sign. even left food on the patio for her. it might sound stupid but she was like my second baby...she was my baby before i had my baby. she was annoying at times but i loved her and i never wanted this to happen. i woke up this morning and when i saw her litter box i just cried. i just hope she is happy whenever she is. im heartbroken over this. So had friends over while i was at work last night since DD was with my mom and on of his friends left the patio door open and she got out. i know it was accident though

Try leaving lost reports at shelters and putting up signs....I got my dog back that way

Definitely put up signs everywhere and look around at your local shelters and even give them a lost pet sign that way they know that if they find her or if someone else brings her in that she is yours and they can get a hold of you and let you know they have her.
