Serious question about my vagina.

No matter how many times I wash my vagina, it still usually stinks. I'm pretty self concious about it   It's to the point where I won't let my boyfriend perform oral and I don't want to pleasure myself because it smells and I feel like I'm making it worse... does that make sense? Could it be my IUD? I have paragard. Sometimes SO says he can feel it when we have sex. I bought Summers Eve shower gel and Vagisil and it doesn't help. I am very clean and shower regularly so I just don't understand. Help!

I would say talk to your doctor. Maybe you have bacteria growth or something else going on.

Has this been a forever thing? You might have a tampon stuck up there. My mom had that happen once and had a similar issue for months. How she didn't get TSS and die I have no idea. But otherwise I would assume an infection or bacteria.

Make sure that you see your doc to rule out any infection. That being said, I am a very clean, disease and infection free woman and I still have a little funk. My Nuva Ring gives me increased discharge that's sometimes impossible to keep up with. I feel gross sometimes too. Just learned to live with it.

It could be the IUD. I got the Mirena last month and had the same issue. It lasted a week or two, then was gone!

Bacterial vaginosis. I read somewhere that soaps can make it smell worse.

Do you use tampons? I hear a lot of stories about women who take them out before they're full, and because it's a little harder to pull out, parts of the tampon break away and stay in the vagina, and it can build up, and start smelling really bad.

that's what I said too! lol

Ive heard of other women with nuvaring have this happen. I had it for 6 years, and it wasnt a problem, but its so different for everybody. I would mention it, but I have also heard all those feminine washes can make even more problems for you. I think they are just for ph problems, and if you have something else going on, it could add to it.

It could definitely be your IUD. Do you have mirena or paragard?

i have paragard. i've had it since April 2011. and sometimes i have brownish discharge and it makes me feel so gross even though i can't control it
