Whats next?

R just turned 3 on the 6th. He knows all of his colors, recognizes most numbers - but can count to 20, knows and recognizes all of his alphabet, knows every part on his body, and has a pretty large vocabulary that's growing every day.

So tell me, what should he know by this age? What things do I start teaching next?

maybe start on shapes?

I'd do shapes. Then animals, everyday things. Then I'd start with very simple math. 1+1 type stuff.

I taught a 3 year old class and we would do all of what he knows, days of the week, and opposites.

Oh I forgot about that. He knows simple shapes. Square, circle, diamond, ect.

I guess we can move on to harder ones.

He's got down the simple shapes. What do you mean animals?

I'd work on letter sounds, the name of letters doesn't do anything when it comes to reading.

Days of the week is a good idea.

I don't want him to know how to read a clock already.   I can't believe it's all down hill from here. He only gets bigger and bigger.

I keep forgetting to add what he knows. He also recognizes trucks (semi-truck, bulldozer, dump truck, ambulance, fire truck, police car, ect.)

Shapes, animals (sea animals, rainforest, wild), different types of trucks, body parts, weather, animal homes, color wheel.

Get Him to start tracing letters, shapes, his name...get him to start memorizing ur phone number, maybe adress??
