Possible Miscarriage
posted 8th Nov
I went in two days ago for an ultrasound (I should have been 7 weeks) and all they could find was a gestational sac. My doctor said not to worry, I could just be a few weeks behind. They did some blood work and my hcg levels came back at 742, which would make me around 4-5 weeks.
I have to go in today at 11 to get more blood work done to see if my levels have doubled, but I started bleeding (red) yesterday and I've had some tissue passing. It seems to have slowed down a little today, but there is still some clotting. Anyone experienced this and everything was okay? Do I tell my doctor when I go in for the blood tests, or should I call them before I go in?

You can call them before or wait. It doesn't really matter. Good luck.

I had something similar, I went in and was suposed to be about 7 weeks and there was just a sac, then did the every 48 hr blood draw and the dr said my levels went down and to wait for miscarriage! So i went and saw another dr and the levels were rising very slowly and she did another ultrasound about a week later and still just a sac, so I asked to schedule a d&c and several days later I went in for the D&C because the miscarriage wasnt happening, what the dr said I had was a blitened ovum "not sure if i spelled right" the day I went in I started to bleed and did one more ultrasound and still just a sac and no blood flow. I know how you feel , it was very emotion for me that whole time, i was an emotional wreck because I just couldnt believe that was happening and I talked to some people on here and they really made me feel better. Good luck aand I hope everything turns out ok, there are some really great stories on here of this happening to people and they go full term. keep us posted

I called and talked to the doctors before I went in for the blood work. They decided to cancel the blood work and told me to come in again in about 3 weeks, so that they can make sure my levels went down to at least 5.
It's pretty disappointing. Thank you all for the help and encouragement though.
