Ok the title sounds weird or probably crazy but I am curious... Do you ever imagine things in your head before bed?
Specifically self-inserted stories. Like, with a story line of your own or perhaps inserting yourself into a movie you watched recently, book you have read ect... Do you have a specific character that represents you or are you yourself?

I have quite a few friends that do this but apparently it is not something that is talked about often... Do you imagine or I guess even(as stupid as it sounds) "play pretend" in your head at night? Weird subject I know.

YES. Every night. It helps jump start my dreams.

If I don't make up something in my head then I think about real life all night.

I live out fantasies depending I'm my mood. mist times I imagine a perfect life and family until I drift off. I just play a movie in my head of what I want my life to be. I don't acts out movies or books, just my own fantasies. They are like day dreams.

Absolutely, its the only way I can go to sleep.   Usually its people loving up on each other, lol. I imagine how I wish things were sometimes because its peaceful and helps me go to sleep, I can't sleep if my mind is blank.

So awesome. I have heard a verity of different examples of this.
Yours being one of them. I have a friend that acts out himself in Star Wars movies and another who imagines herself as someone in the Victorian era and another who just daydreams as well. I usually implant myself into movies or games or things that I am into at the time.(myself being the main character of my comic book). I am always someone else, never myself. If that makes sense XD
I was always really embarrassed by this but I feel a lot more comfortable now. It is how I get all the ideas for my comic book I am creating. Ha.

Since talking more and more about this... I have kinda been wanting to try DnD with some of my nerd friends lol. I don't know if I am brave enough yet though. I think I would get embarrassed XD

Oh I play Guild Wars 2  
I love video games so much, especially the ones where you can make your character all pretty. I especially really love the whole idea of adults not losing that bit of creativity that fallows them into adult hood. Makes me happy. :]

Lol why.be embarrassed? I guess I am unimaginative bc those would be cool things to think about. I.never though of doing that. I am just imagining finding a good guy, sometimes the sex, sometimes he dating, sometimes relationship or marriage, sometimes just being a happy family. Occasional I dream of being a rich person traveling the works or imagine being what I wanted to be as a child.

Hell yeah lol. Its the only thing that gets my mind off everything else long enough to go to bed.

I hear music in my head like a radio sometimes. There have been times I was half asleep and think the radio is playing and mad bc I can't turn it off lol I think too much

ALL THE TIME! Even when I'm driving sometimes. I imagine me, as me, still having my son and being a single mom

But in a completely different city
A completely different life
Love life
Friends
Etc

No that is still creative. Those are what help you release stress. Things you want. That is a perfect thing to be thinking about and imagining about! I love it and just because it is your life and you, it does not make it any less creative and awesome. My friend grandmother imagines she has a man next to her in bed every night. Since the death of her husband many years ago she imagines her perfect man. :]My friend Olivia imagines romance novel type stories with her in it. Ha.

I have a name for my character and everything but the same character has fallowed me since I was a child. I think it's strange but eh, its me XD.
I love all this for some reason. Its so cool. Some I know are themselves and others are people they wish they were and some are different characters each night. It seems to vary.
