i know alot about marijuana and done research for years. there is no KNOWN effects, and actually the 1 study ever done on pregnant woman in babies was done in jamacia by a doctor and the results showed the moms who smoked MJ during their pregnancies adn healthier pregnancies and smarter babies.. its a true legit study..

they test for all drugs.. not just pot.. because they are illegal. tahts why they test.

every person i ever now that smoked while pregnatn has perfectly healthy SMART babies.

my first i never touched MJ and she was born with epilepsy and chromosomal abnormailties. its greats for morning sickness and is way better than perscriptions drugs given to pregantn woman. i could go on and on. I have written about 3 research papers on Marijuana and Medical Marijuana

well thats your opinion. I stick to the facts ive learned about MJ and how beneficial it is.. did you know that a certain cannibinoid found in TCH can me concintrated and used to cure some cancers? its true   its a miracle drug. it could even help my daughters epilepsy if i wanted to try it.

did they test the baby at all? or their meconium? if you didnt smoke AT ALL,, then i bet your fine. good luck. and if you know you didnt smoke and it comes back positive, then.....idk what the hell is up! but good luck hun, thats the last thing youd want to deal with when bringing home a baby!

Well they didnt tell us until the day we were leaving, but we demanded the second test, and asked about what happens now. They said that they were sending the cord blood to test the baby, it'd show any drug use during the entire pregnancy. Yeah, I didn't smoke AT ALL. I left that all in the past and I have no desire to turn back. Plus, my fiance is a cop, he definitely would not approve. Yeah, last thing anyone would want, can't wait til the test comes back.

dont worry momma : ) it was probably a false psotive like they said. i think its stupid they are putting you through this, espeically since the 2nd testwas negative. do they know he is a cop??? when do you find out?

Yeah they know, they had already sent the cord blood out. I wish they would have told us it came back positive sooner, because maybe I could have taken the second test and they wouldn't have sent it off, but oh well. They said it would take about a week for the results to get back, but it's been 8 days now.

Because they are dumb.
Also, baby soaps with tear-free agents can cause false-positives for THC and cocaine.

You won't hear from the hospital usually if you have anything in your system. It is generally CPS and if your house looks safe they will leave you alone. You don't have to let them in, but if you have nothing to hide you can invite them in to talk.

Congrats on baby, hopefully nothing comes of the crap they're putting you through. I was drug tested with my second baby and they also tested her meconium. Such an unconstitutional invasion of privacy, I hate hospitals.

I had forgotten to update. Test came back negative for everything. A nurse I talked with said that some mothers have said straighr out they smoked weed, did meth or drank within that month and the test came back negative. -_- Smurfing system or lab or test or whatever it is that is allowing those women to get away with it and people like me to be forced to prove our innocense and deal with child protective services.

Sorry but there are no known facts about marijuana curing anything. The high may help those suffering but does not 'cure' anything. The smoke from marijuana is what damages your lungs it wont give you lung cancer but it will make it harder to breathe I've smoked quite a few times and that's why I am now a chronic asthmatic, I don't advise any pregnant person to smoke marijuana the smoke could hurt babies lungs.
