The happier they try to make people think they are the more likely it is that they're miserable, I've noticed.

I was positively in love with this girl and when we broke up it devastated me. I thought about her every single day for over a year and did a lot of crying. I still remember her and what we had and there are still songs that make me think of her. I'll still dream about her sometimes and look her up on Facebook to see what she's doing with her life.
But I know that what I love about that now is the memory of it. We are two completely different people and I could never date her again.
And, even with those thoughts, I love my husband. I could never trade him in for a dream I have about another person, no matter how nice those memories are.

I went through something similar with my ex, he wasn't the same guy I feel in love with in high school we dated for 3.5 years. He was a total different guy. And although it started off as an emotional affair and then I left my daughters father for him, it didn't work out.. and I wanted my family back more than anything! It took awhile for my daughters father and I to get back together. Things have never been the same and I regret it every day. Aaron doesn't hold it over my head and we work hard to make our relationship work.
