If you have been cheated on

How did you trust the next person you got in a relationship with? I guess that could be worded better, but I'm not sure how to word it.

I feel like I'll never be able to trust another guy again   It really sucks because I just want to move on with my life, but I'm still dwelling on my previous relationship a little. I want this phase to be over with, and I want to be where the grass is greener and smurf.

How long does it take?  

My SO cheated on me last year, we are still working on it. I trust him, but I don't forgive him yet.

But as for a new relationship I have no advice, I'm sure as for anything it just takes some time.

I guess it doesn't help that part of me wants to try again and work things out, and another part of me says smurf him move on lol.

Right now I'm in a relationship without a commitment. We dated officially for a month but decided the title is what was holding us back. BD cheated on me a few times in the 4 years we were together. I could never trust him. The guy I'm with now is the first guy since BD. I feel like I can trust this guy even though we're not technically committed. I think it's more of finding someone you feel like you can trust and it takes time.

DD's father cheated on me when I was pregnant with her. It killed me. We split in June and ever since I've learned to trust what someone says, until current SO went and had secrets and cheated. It's a work in progress, a struggle for quite a while. Dwelling makes everything feel fresh which sucks.

It takes awhile. I was so in love. Found out the entire. 2 years he was cheating on me. Now a year later and a son with someone else I still think about him and wonder how he is. Don't get me wrong I love SO and our son but this Guy was the first Guy I ever loved. ent to both proms with him. Went on senior trip with him. Was the first Guy I ever lived with. Its hard. But you'll get there it just takes time.

I dont think i will ever be able to date anyone again.. my ex SO cheated on me and always talked aboutg threeways i always felt i was not enough and i always feel like any guy i date will get bored with me the way my ex SO did.. hurts big time..

I know   I can't stop thinking about it though. I try to keep myself busy all day but my mind always wanders back to it.

My ex husband cheated on me, and my current boyfriend is who I've been with for 2 years. He hasn't cheated, that I know of. There's been many things I questioned, but I think a lot of it comes from my insecurity.

I felt like that too. I felt like I needed to stay with BD because he was in my life for so long, we were engaged, we had a baby together and leaving would be me giving up on our family. But honestly, it was for the better for me. I thought it would drive me crazy if this new guy talks to other girls. I found out pretty early that him and our mutual friend(a girl we both work with) had a thing but she ended up friend zoning him. They talk all the time and hang out. If BD ever did that his ass would have been handed to him.
