re: Don't even look if you're going to be rude

Do you think your relationship is "fixable"? I think you guys need to have a heart to heart and then go from there. Try not to argue. You need to be able to say anything and everything you want and he needs to have the same right. Start with that and then go from there.

It's absolutely normal for the father to become distant in the beginning...especially if the pregnancy was unplanned. Doesn't mean he's going to run out on you and your baby. Give him time to get used to the idea of having a family that he's going to be responsible for. Most guys aren't as attached to a fetus like the Mother is from the start. Most guys don't feel any connection with the baby until after he/she is born. I wouldn't stress about it, Mama...unnecessary stress isn't good for you and your baby

I'm sorry but really?

OP, it may be the nerves, it may be something else. Whatever it is, you just gotta keep telling yourself you will get through it and you will be strong. It's hard, trust me I know, but it gets better everyday. Try talking to him about it?

Didn't you post about having trouble with your credit a day or two ago? Because of a voluntary repo? I know quite a few people my age with way too good credit for their ages.

First all of you piece of smurf who told me to get an abortion get off my posts. Why would you even suggest that, wow i came to this website to get GOOD advice. I don't OWN my own home, i rent a house.& did you not understand my posts I said I was considering moving out & just being a single mother because the father wasn't being very supportive. I knew just because I said I was 18 meant that people would be smurfs. Thanks for the one person who didn't judge me on my age & actually gave me concrete advice.

I was 18 when I got pregnant, also going to school for nursing. I'm now with a 1 year old, married to the father, and never quit school, have our own place and we do just fine on our own.. We had our ups and downs but we made it through. Wait it out, he probably is in shock. And don't listen to any rude smurfs telling you to get an abortion and finish school. It's not easy but it's not impossible to have a child while you're in school.

then leave your age out of it.if you have your smurf together then who cares if you are 18. you are just setting yourself up for those negative comments.

He may honestly be scared, I got pregnant and I had my first DD at 17 and I was scared but excited. My now DH was very distant and seemed rather uninterested. I think the fact of a small human being scares some men, especially with how people say "they are so fragile and need support under their head etc..." it freaks them out. I am not defending him in any way shape or form just explaining it's a scary experience for some of them. I honestly went on from having my daughter at 17 after graduating high school to enrolling in culinary school, got my degree and became a chef at a private country club. I moved my way up and enrolled in a business school which I am currently finishing for my bachelor's degree and soon going to start a business and I have a second child. Mind you I am 26 now but I too have a house, a big yard, just got a new car and married the man who helped me give life to my two girls. It wasn't without having confidence in myself and really pushing myself to work hard for my oldest, that led me to where I am today. So it's not impossible it just takes a little extra effort and if he doesn't want to step up that's his problem.

You really need to get over your insecurities. No one gives a smurf how old you are, just how rude you are.
