red spots?

So taking my sons diaper off a few minutes ago I noticed that kind of around his butt crack and on his hips, there is a few bright red spots? About 3 on his right hip and around 3 near his butt crack. They aren't bumps, the area around it isn't red, just red spots, best I can describe it is the way your skin looks if a cat claws you (but doesn't scratch) What could cause this? He's real moody all around today so I can't say if its bothering him or not, he isn't touching the places where the red spots are though.

Maybe the diaper just irritated him. Or his skin was moist and just rubbed together?

My daughter does the same thing with certain diapers. Maybe try another brand

But at the top of his hip? That spot doesn't get wet which is why I'm confused.

Only thing different I've done is started using pull ups, but I've used 'em before and I've been using them for a while but today he has these spots. Maybe something was stabbing him in his carseat or somethingg?

Maybe. It probably just rubbed him the wrong way because the pull ups aren't too snug at all. Would you switch brands or just see if it keeps happening?

Does he wear jeans with elastic in them? Sometimes my daughter's jeans rub her hip area and leave little red spots.

He does but today he was wearing stretchy sweat pants that were kinda loose on him. But I remembered he fell today and scraped his side so that could have something to do with the red spots.
