I would like the art more if it didn't look like she was scowling!

As for the quote... I think it's important to recognize when it's time for a change. Should I accept myself as a drug user? An alcoholic? Depressed?

Absolutely. Maybe it's just me, but I never want to be just satisfied with who I am and where I am. I always want to be better, stronger, smarter, etc.

Yes, you should accept yourself as you are... but that doesn't mean that you have to stay where you are. Self-acceptance doesn't imply stagnation. Self-acceptance is actually used in many types of therapy as a foundation on which change is made. This is where you are in the present. Accept that you are in this present moment. Honestly evaluate what you have. Change what will improve your life. A lot of the rehabilitation programs begin with accepting that you have a problem. They don't encourage you to embrace the problem. If that makes any sense.

I think people often misconstrue self-acceptance as an ending point, when really it is a beginning point.
